Fernando Villasenor-Bermudez
Fernando Alejandro Shaquille Villasenor-Bermudez, 5 months, of Waikoloa, died March 5, 2022 at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu.
Friends may call at 9:30 a.m. March 19 at Ballard Family Mortuary, Hilo, for viewing. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. March 26 at the New Hope Waikoloa Church, Waikoloa.
He is survived by parents, Berenice and Cesar Villasenor; brothers Jayden Lopez and Jonathan Villasenor-Bermudez; grandparents, Juan Fernando Bermudez, Patricia Castillo, Cesar Alejandro Villasenor and Tirsa Villasenor; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Lois Carrier
Lois Mae Carrier, 94, of Kailua-Kona, died Dec. 27, 2021 at Josie’s Care Home. Born Oct. 21, 1927, in Minnesota, she was a housewife.

She is survived by daughter, Colleen Lasham; sons, Timothy (Karen) Carrier and Kelly (Deanna) Carrier, all of Kailua-Kona; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Thomas Fukui
Thomas Nobuo Fukui, 81, of Hilo died March 3, 2022, at his residence. Born in Laupahoehoe, he was a retired funeral attendant for Dodo Mortuary, delivery person for Kui &I Florist and Floral Mart, former stonemason, member of The House Hilo and a veteran of the Hawaii Air National Guard.

He is survived by wife, Leoni Fukui of Hilo; son, David (Tracy) Fukui of Hilo; daughter, Deborah Fukui of Seattle; brothers, Donald (Carol) Fukui of Aiea, Oahu, and Richard (Elaine) Fukui of Hilo; sisters, Harumi Higashigawa of Gardena, California, and Nancy (Robert) Dela Santos of Honolulu; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jane Uyeno
Jane Fumiko Uyeno, 77, of Hilo, died Feb. 13, 2022 at her residence. Born Jan. 16, 1945, in Hilo, she retired from the State of Hawaii Department of Education as an elementary school teacher at Hilo Union School and a member of the Honohina-Papaaloa Hongwanji Temple, Fukuoka Kenjinkai, Odori Kai and was the Secretary of Farm Supply Cooperative.
Private services held. The family requests that flowers and koden (monetary offerings) be omitted.
She is survived by husband, Harold Uyeno of Hilo; daughters, Kelly Uyeno of Las Vegas, and Shari Uyeno of Hilo; son, Donn Uyeno of La Quinta, California; sisters, Mae (Sebastian) Salomon of Kailua, Oahu, Evelyn (Melvin) Sugihara of Vancouver, Washington, Carolyn (Glenn) Bunch of Saluda, Virginia and Reiko Obana of Fukuoka, Japan; two grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Edward Kaukaopua Wong Sr., 76, of Kailua-Kona, died Jan. 19, 2022. He was born in Wailuku, Maui, on May 2, 1945.

He is survived by sons, Edward Wong Jr., Warren Wong, George Wong, and Sharownn (Kahala) Wong; daughters, Samantha-Marie (Tyler) Ng, Sonja-Ann (Daniel) Riley, and Audra-Lynn (Robert) Wong; step-son, Kai Boy (Kaehu) Limary; step-daughter, Malia (Jay) Jones; sisters, Mary Kupuka’a and Elaine Wong; 29 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
